The web developer/designer will edit and customize WordPress themes to create websites based on client requests and design style guides. Once a website is created, the developer will help with revisions, maintenance, and additions to the website. They will work with the project manager and account managers to ensure site builds and related tasks are prioritized and performed in a timely manner. 

Daily responsibilities will include: 

• Working with the team to build out WordPress websites using pre-built WordPress themes
• Updating websites with requested client changes and revisions
• Launching new websites (including site migrations and domain management)
• Troubleshooting website rendering issues on mobile devices and browsers
• Creating and editing website graphics

The job requires a demonstrated understanding of the WordPress framework, HTML, and CSS Responsibilities will also include designing page layouts based on available content. The WordPress developer will need to have a demonstrated understanding of design principles and what makes a good page layout. The right candidate will be able to complete tasks and designs with minimal oversight. The web designer should be flexible and adaptable. They should be troubleshooters and problem solvers at heart. 

Requirements:

• English upper intermediate (Mandatory) 
• Portfolio with live examples and code samples
• 3+ years experience developing completely custom WordPress websites
• Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and CSS pre-processors (SASS)
• Experience working in a fast-paced agency environment is preferred
• Experience with Shopify
• Comfortable working with a partially distributed team
• Experience with version control (Bitbucket, GitHub, etc.)
