Code&Care is a successful full-stack development company delivering high-quality software solutions to clients worldwide. We are expanding our team with a dedicated Full-Stack JavaScript Developer to work with international clients, primarily within the LATAM region. You will join a distributed team, contributing to modern web applications, scalable backend services, and AI-enabled features that empower product teams to move fast and deliver value. The role sits within a dynamic project portfolio, spanning fintech, e-commerce, SaaS, and enterprise applications, with opportunities to influence architectural decisions and adopt new technologies.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js, with emphasis on scalable, robust APIs.
• Build and support modern frontend applications using React.js/Next.js, ensuring responsive UI and accessible design.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and leverage ORMs (TypeORM, Sequelize, Mongoose) for efficient data access.
• Participate in system design, architecture decisions, and code reviews in a distributed team environment.
• Integrate third-party APIs and AI services, including OpenAI API / LLM integrations, to power AI-driven features.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software on schedule.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerization with Docker, and basic DevOps practices to improve delivery speed and reliability.

Required skills and experience

• Strong experience with JavaScript and TypeScript in both backend (Node.js) and frontend (React.js/Next.js).
• Proficiency with Express.js or Nest.js and modern API design patterns (REST/GraphQL).
• Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB; practical experience with ORMs such as TypeORM, Sequelize, or Mongoose.
• Frontend expertise in React, Redux, and TailwindCSS; ability to build responsive, accessible user interfaces.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and CI/CD practices; basic Docker and DevOps understanding.
• Experience integrating AI services and OpenAI API; interest in AI-powered features (chat, agents, automation, embeddings, RAG).
• Comfortable working in a distributed, collaborative environment with PMs and cross-functional teams.
• English proficiency for communication in international teams; proactive, self-motivated, and strong problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Python development experience and data tooling.
• Prior exposure to AI/ML workflows and large language model integrations.
• Cloud-native design experience and advanced DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with testing strategies, QA automation, and performance optimization.
